The stomach bug got him again! My poor little guy got sent home from school yesterday because he threw up at school. Not just threw up, projectile vomited on his teacher. Not sure if I feel worse for the teacher or Cooper. Probably Cooper. So, the school called me and I left work. When I got there, the room smelled like fresh...Lysol. Cooper was asleep in his crib. So, I swooped him up and took him to the car. And of course, he woke up. A crow flew by and cawwed, Cooper laughed. It was too cute. So, then we went to the store to stock up on Power-aid, Pedialyte, and "bland food". So, thank God, the rest of the afternoon, we were vomit and poop free. We played and just hung out together. Cooper fell asleep on the floor at
5:00pm and woke up at 5:30am. Keep in mind, he only sleep for about 20 minutes at school. So, today he skipped school and stayed with Papaw, Nonna, and CiCi...aka Lucy the dog. Mom says is doing well. He still won't eat, but is drinking liquids. Needless to say, we might have to miss our Halloween festivities and just pass out candy. But at least he was able to dress up for 2 parties already. Anyways, hope you all have a happy and safe Halloween!!

I LOVE AWARDS!!
http://averytales.blogspot.com/2008/10/i-love-awards.html
First I would like to thank my dear friend, Lurenda at averytales, for honoring me with this very thoughtful award. She is such an awesome friend and I am so blessed to have her in my life. She is an inspiration and I am a better person because of her. Thanks Lu!!
And since I am not computer savy and have no patience with trying to figure things out, I am not sure how to link to others blogs. So, I would also like to thank Meaghan over at I kicked cancer's ass who started the KREATIV BLOGGER awards. Without her these awards would not be possible. So, here I go...
I love...
The LORD! Without him, I would be lost! He has been by my side and gives me strength everyday to be a better person and to live for him.
Being Cooper's mom most of all. I love everything about being a mom. From all of the wonderful moments like the smiles, laughs, and snuggles to the early morning "MAMA!", whining, and temper tantrums. I love watching him discover things for the first time and having that moment of excitement. Honestly I love it all. Being a mother has been my biggest blessing and Cooper is my biggest accomplishment. He is the reason why I want to be a better person and my reason that I get out of bed every morning. He is my sidekick and my rock. I love being his mama and could not imagine my world without Cooper.
My parents...they have been right by my side through it ALL and they still love and support me every step of the way. Without them I am honestly not sure what I would do.I am soo blessed to have 2 sets of wonderful parents. Not many people are blessed with 4 awesome and loving parents. They listen to me, give advice, help me SOOO much with Cooper, and have a hot meal ready whenever I don't feel like cooking.
My friends...old and new, they all hold very special, yet different places in my heart. They are there for me in the good times and the bad times.
Taking pictures! Anyone who knows me, knows that I can be a bit obsessive about taking pictures. Especially little Cooper. He is my main subject. I love capturing all of his wonderful and not so wonderful moments. I think he is getting use to living with the poparatzi...aka- his mama!
Like Lu, I love a good glass of wine or a hot cup of coffee. Both of those are a great way to relax with friends or alone.
So, the winners are....drum roll please.....
1. Megan over at mmprentice. She is a great friend and she makes me laugh. Now that she has a neice to show off, maybe she will add some new pics to her blog. Thank you for being such an awesome friend.
2. Tiffany over at Alabama Redhead Adventure. She is a hoot! She always has wild and interesting stories to read on her blog. Thanks for the laughs!
3. Kate over at Sawyers Four. She is a very crafty mama! I wish I could be more like her and make Cooper's clothes. That would be awesome.
4. And the last winner is... nobody, I really don't have a lot of friends that blog or read my blog. So, there it is... my 3 wonderful winners. OR.. I could pass it back to LURENDA over at Avery Tales. She is a wonderful mother and one of my most caring friends. Thanks again Lu!

Not Me Monday!
I really don't like Mondays, but this gives me a little bit to look forward to every Monday. So, here are some things that I really DID NOT do this past week.
1. First of all, I really DO Not eat a lot of fast food. Really I don't! But on Friday night, Cooper and I had to run some errands, so we DID NOT stop by McDonald's on the way home. And I surely DID NOT enjoy eating my BIG MAC, french fries, and sweet tea. OMG- what was I NOT thinking! But, I really did feel kinda guilty for eating that much junk and feeding it to my son too.
2. On Saturday morning, I took Cooper to a small church pumpkin patch and I DID NOT pretend that we were at a big pumpkin patch and I DID NOT take tons of pictures! Oh No, who me, I DO NOT like to take pictures.
3. Cooper has an ear infection and refuses to take his medicine. So, when it is medicine time, I DO NOT put him in his carseat and squirt it in his mouth. I guess some might say that is a little mean, but I feel as if I have no choice. I have tried soo many things. He just really hates it.

My busy life
Wow, being a mom is a 24/7 job. But it is a job that I absolutely LOVE! Between birthday parties, halloween parties, fall festivals, pumpkin patches, weddings, and planning Cooper's 2nd birthday, I haven't slowed down lately. Cooper keeps me busy! Next year, I will have to take off more days around the holiday season to fit in all of the fun things. There just isn't enough time on the weekends for all of the things I want to do with Cooper. And besides all of the exciting things going on, I still have to deal with the reality of being a single mom. But with God's help and a lot of prayer, I know I can get through this and I will be a better person for it.
With all of that said, hope you all have a great week. YAY, It's Thursday! Praise the Lord that the weekend is almost here!! And after all of the Halloween festivities, I will post pics of my little spider.

Not Me Monday!
Ok, here I go with my first NOT ME MONDAY Post. I have been wanting to join the rest of the world for so long. So, hopefully I will do it right the first time.
Cooper, my son, was with his grandmother and daddy for a few days, and I did not enjoy just lying on the couch and taking a long bubble bath on Friday night. OH NO NOT ME!!! But I did miss the heck out of my little sidekick!
On Saturday, Cooper and I went to a child-friendly halloween party. Of course, he would not eat dinner because they had sooo many fun toys and other children to play with. But on the way home, he kept saying "cookies", so I did not give in to my almost 2 year old and feed him oreos just so he would stop whinning. OH NO NOT ME!
On Sunday, I did not sleep in and skip church just to snuggle with my sweet baby and of course let him rest longer since he had been going non-stop since Thursday. OH NO NOT ME!
I am sure that I have many more NOT ME moments, but I am not writing my NOT ME's instead of working. OH NO NOT ME!!

Mama's shoes
Ok, I am not really sure why Cooper has an obsession with wearing my shoes around the house. I will admit it is cute...now. But not so much when he gets a little older. I guess he just loves his mama so much that he wants to be like me.

Cooper's Birthday????
Why oh why do I make some things harder than they really have to be?? Coop's birthday has been on my mind for the longest time now. Who to invite? What should the theme be? Should I attempt to make the cake myself, let my mom bake it, or just make life easier and BUY IT!! But I really want to make it because it makes it that much more special. I want to start some birthday traditions now and stick with them. But something I know for sure that I am going to start doing is to write a letter to Cooper each year. I will tell him how much he means to me, funny stories, and about all of his many accomplishments for that year. I will seal each letter with a kiss and put them in a keepsake box, along with other memorable things. And when he is older I will give it to him I am sure that a daughter would appreciate this more, but the way things are looking, Cooper is a real mama's boy so far. I am sure that his birthday party will be wonderful and he will love every minute of it. Big or small, he will have a blast...I am still in shock that my baby is no longer a baby...he is a big boy. But he will always be my little snug bug!!

Monday Confessions:
1. I was a lazy bum most of the weekend.
2. And I really enjoyed it.
3. I let Cooper sleep with me on Friday night.
4. And Friday night, my almost 2 year old and I made a palet on the floor and watched 101 Dalmations and The Iron Giant. And yes, he actually sat there for that long. See.. I felt yucky most the weekend, And I think Cooper knew that because he was as sweet as pie all weekend.
5. I skipped a friend's wedding and just went to the reception because Cooper and weddings don't mix.
6. I pretty much ate nothing but carbs all weekend long.
7. I really haven't worked much today. Just watching the clock.

3. I am proud of Cooper for being my rock!
4. I am proud of myself for canceling my tanning bed package.
5. Mostly I am proud of myself for making a budget and trying my best to stick to it.
