Playdate with Monkey Mack

Mack gives me a big hug before I leave. I can't wait to go back and play with my best bud Mack :)

This was my favorite part of the playdate. Us boys like to hide from the mommies. Peek a boo!

"2 cookies please!"

Mack is not a big sweet eater, so he shares his cookies with me! Thanks mack!

We always have so much fun together!

He lets me come over and play with all of his toys.

This is my best bud Mack. He goes to my school.

Trip to Savannah

This Memorial Day weekend, Coop and I drove to Savannah GA with my friend Megan. Her sister, Rebecca, and her family live there. We finally got on the rode at 4:00 Bham time and arrived in Savannah at 11:30. Coop had minimal meltdowns during the LONG ride to Savannah. Tip: Do Not stop a truck stop gas station with a 2 1/2 year old. There were SO many over priced toys in there it was RIDICULOUS!! But we got out of there without spending a dime. I had to ride in the back with Coop most of the way and reminded that I get a bit car seat when I ride in the back. But it made Cooper happier to have me spending time with him while on the road. Lily, Hanz, and Rebecca greeted us when we arrived. Coop was wide awake and ready to "play". He did sleep for the first few hours of our trip. We were all exhausted, so we headed to bed after we chatted for a bit. For most of our trip, it rained. But it was still great to be away from Bham. We went to the River Walk, ate good food, shopped at the Outlets, and the grownups played guitar hero rockstar. That was Mommy's first time. And it was a lot of fun. I think that Coop had a crush on Becca's 7 month old, Lily. He told her that she was a "pretty baby" one morning. And held her hand everytime we got in the car. It was the cutest thing!

Thank you Welo family for welcoming us into your beautiful home. We had such a good time! Hope to visit again when it is sunny outside :)

Thank you...

Coop has the Croup!

My sweet sweet son has the croup. On Monday night around 2am, Coop started coughing like a barking seal. I ran in there to find him standing up gasping for air. That was one of the most scariest moments of being a mommy...so far. I tried to give him his breathing treatment and that just upset him 10x more. Which made him barely able to catch his breath. I was panicking and crying. All in all, trying to stay calm for Cooper. I called my parents and Bernard came straight over. My mom told me to take him in the bathroom, close the door, and run the shower on hot. So, that is where Bernard found us when he arrived. My first reaction was to throw Coop in the car and head to the ER. Coop went straight to Papaw when he arrived. He was calm at this point. I called the after hours nurse. She said that it sounded like Coop had croup. For the rest of the night, Coop slept with Papaw in the recliner. He didn't cough much more the rest of the night. The next morning, I went to work and Coop went to Papaw and Nonna's house for the day. We spent the night that night with my parents for help and support. I was able to stay with Coop on Wednesday and that night we headed to Grandpa and Grammy's house. And tonight, Grammy Bobbie is coming into town to help out tonight and tomorrow. We are so blessed to have such wonderful grandparents in Coop's life. As of today, he is still running some fever and coughing a good bit. Just keep my little man in your prayers.
