I've decided...

I've decided to start blogging more. It is so relaxing! But more importantly it is a great way to keep up with Cooper's life. I love to go back and read my posts. Plus I love to keep up with my friend's lives too...and a few people I have never met, but LOVE to read about.

I've decided to start going to church more. I have gotten out of the habit of going every Sunday. And that has got to change. There is no excuse that is big enough not to go to church.

I've decided to start reading more. I have several books...including the BIBLE, that I want to read. Reading is good for the soul and always much better than the movie.

I've decided to spend more time with Coop and less time cleaning/cooking/and doing laundry. I know these things must be done, but spending quality time with Cooper is a MUST for me! I feel like my day consists of working, cleaning, and cooking. When I get home, I cook dinner, play with Coop for a minute, bath Coop and put him to bed. And then of course clean the kitchen and do laundry. Some of which I do while he is awake just because I usually go to bed sometime shortly after I put C to sleep.

I've decided to drink more water! I drink little to no water everyday. That is so bad. And water is SO good for you. I would rather drink a coke zero/diet coke/ or something along those lines.

I've decided to go back to school hopefully in the Fall. I am in the process of filling out an application for a loan and applications to colleges. I want to be on the same schedule as Cooper and hopefully have more children in the future.

So, that about wraps it up! Now it's time to stop talking about what I've decided to do and DO IT! What are some things that you have decided to do with your life?

Update:
as of 12.2.09
I completed my application for loans/grants etc... last night and now I am going to apply to two colleges today. Jacksonville State and UAB. Wish me luck!

I started blogging more.

And last night, Coop and I hung out a good bit longer! We put more decorations on the tree, had a picnic for dinner, and snuggled longer after bath.

So far So good! But I am drinking a Coke Zero as I type...shame shame!

Happy Birthday my sweet son...

This post is a week late, but here goes...

Three years ago, on November 22, 2006, was the day that I became a mother. It was the best day of my life, all because of you. My pregnancy was a good one. Like all others, it had it's ups and downs. But I would do it again in a heartbeat. It was the most amazing experience to have you growing inside me. I worked up until the day you were born. We went for my weekly check-up at the office in Alabaster. The doctor wondered how in the world I worked that day because you were ready to join the world. Your head was so far down and ready to come out. So, your dad and I rushed home, got our bags and headed to St.Vincents hospital. They hooked me up to some machines to track my contractions. I never felt them except for my back hurt pretty bad. The doctors broke my water and that was by far the weirdest feeling ever! I pushed for hours and you didn't want to come out. Your BIG head was turned sideways and the doctors talked about doing a C-section...which I did not want. So I pushed some more and you finally arrived at 8:52pm. Your dad,Nonna, and Aunt Lea were the first to welcome you into the world. Everyone else was in the waiting room anxiously to meet Cooper Andrew Davenport. You weighed 6lbs5ounces and were 18 1/2 inches long. All I wanted after the excitement wore down was a McDonald's cheeseburger. Funny thing is that now you LOVE "Cheeseburger house" cheeseburgers! So, that is your story in a nutshell. I can't believe that you are already 3. You have brought so much joy to my life. The things you say and do amaze me everyday. My goals for you before you turned 3 were for you to be potty trained, in a big boy bed, and to not have your pappy. And all 3 were accomplished! YAY US! You love school, your grandparents, and just people in general. You love playing outside, books, cars, firetrucks, trains, movies, cooking, and helping around the house. You are my angel and I can't wait to experience more wonderful days with you! Thanks Cooper for loving me unconditionally.

All Smiles

LOVE this smile, LOVE this boy with ALL of my heart! Never knew I could love someone as much as I love my son Cooper!!! This was C's first smile when he was just a month or so old. His smile still melts my heart!!

I cannot believe that Cooper...

will be 3 in less than 3 days!
is almost fully potty trained!
has not a pappy since Labor Day!
is in a toddler bed!
is no longer a baby anymore...but little does he know, he will ALWAYS be my baby!!

Starting today we will begin Cooper's birthday celebrations. C is just like his mommy, Birthdays are not just one day, You are special and You get at least a week to celebrate your birth!! First, he will have a small birthday party at school today with cupcakes and school friends. Tomorrow morning, all his little buddies will be at the house bouncing in the jumpy jump and will have a surprise visit from our local fire department. Then at 4, our family and mommy's friends will come over once again to celebrate Cooper's 3rd birthday. We will have yet another cake, this time a cookie cake! Along with hot dogs, fruit, cheese cubes, chips, and spinach dip. YUM-O! Sunday is Coop's actual birthday, so we will start the day off with a birthday breakfast of Coop's favs...pancakes, bacon, sausage, and biscuits. The rest of the day will be just hanging with Coop...and James. My 2 favorite guys! I am so blessed to have such wonderful guys in my life! I will post more birthday news later...

Update on C's party weekend:

His birthday party was a huge success! He loved the firetruck and bouncy bounce. The Calera Fire department came to join the party. All the kids had a ball exploring the firetruck. Most everyone that I invited showed up. I got to hang out with some old friends from college and high school. And Coop got a lot of great things. He loved his shaving kit from the girls, remote control firetruck, construction trucks from Mack, kitchen from Grammy and Grandpa, new DVD player from Papaw and Nonna and Thomas movies from James.

After Coop had his kid party at 10, we had some down time before the next party. No nap, but down time. At 4, our family and mommy's friends came over for hot dogs and more cake! Coop had fun jumping some more with Caroline and Magdelyn. After the party, C crashed right on time.

On Sunday, we woke up and cooked pancakes and bacon. C's favorite! We had a lazy morning and loved every minute! Around lunch, Coop went to the mall and lunch with his dad and aunt ally. They went to the Lego store and ate in the food court. Coop had a cheeseburger from "The Cheeseburger House". His fav! Aunt Ally brought Coop home around 5 and he played with his new toys until bedtime. James, Coop, and I had a pizza picnic and watch Thomas for dinner. Good times! I would say that Cooper had a wonderful 3rd birthday from start to finish!
