Award time....
My wonderful friend Megan awarded me with this award. Thanks Meg! So, now I have to tell you all about my 5 addictions and pass the honors on to 5 others.
1. First of all I am totally and completely addicted to Jesus Christ! Without him, I would be lost. My life has been a roller coaster over the past 8 months or LONGER! And through the storm, my relationship with Jesus has become SO strong. He is amazing!!
2. Cooper is in a close running with my # 1 answer. Cooper is my most amazing 2 year little boy! He is my reason for waking every morning...literally! I am so excited and proud to be his mother. He is such a fun, loving, snuggly, rough and tough momma's boy.
3. My third addiction is music. I LOVE music...all kinds. If I am in a bad mood, crank up the tunes and rock on!
4. Like Meg, I LOVE to take pics. I am a little obsessed at times. But I know that when I am gray and old, I will be sooo happy that photography was one of my favorite pastimes.
5. Last but not least, I am addicted to coffee. I gotta have it EVERY morning with a shot of french vanilla. What a wonderful way to start the day.
And now to my lovely blogger friends that the award goes to....drum roll please...
1. Lurenda at averytales. I love hearing all of her fun stories about her sweet little boy Jeffrey. She is a wonderful mother and friend!
2. Jenn at breazealefamilyblog. Her son Mack and my son Coop are BFF. So, I love keeping up with them. But what I really LOVE is seeing what Monkey Mack can get into next!! Thanks Jenn for being a great friend.
3. Tiff at alabamaredheadadventures. I love reading about all of her MANY animals. I believe that hers and Mike's marriage is what it is all about. The times that I have been around them, they seem to respect and love each other fully.
4. Temple at Cookies Mean God Loves You. I love reading her blog bc her thoughts are so deep sometimes. She really gets me thinking.
5. Kate at sawyersfour. I love reading her blog bc I know about raising boys and she has 2 little ones. She seems to really love being a mother and does a good job!

A Historic Day
Dear Cooper,
On Tuesday, January 20,2009, Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th President. The reason why it is a historic day is that he is the first African American President of the United States of America. George W. Bush served as our President for 8 years and now is passing his duties to Obama.
What were we doing during Barack Obama's Inauguration:
I was at work at Kevco Carpets and Vinyl as Office Manager. We watched some of the Inauguration at work.
And you were with your Grammy B. You played at the house, watched Wild Hogs, ate at the Cheesecake Factory with GiGi, Aunt Ally, and Grammy B. I know Wild Hogs is probably not a good choice for a 2 year old, but you LOVE that movie. You say "thunna" and "varoom varoom" when you want to watch it. I have NO IDEA what "thunna" means, but when I hold up the movie, you say "yes". That night, we ate turkey spaghetti and peaches. You ate like a little piggy! That made mommy VERY happy!! We had a fun night together playing and watching tv.
We were still living in our house in Calera. And getting it ready to sale.
So when you are older and someone ask you what you were doing when Barack Obama was sworn in as our 1st African American President, you will know the answer.
I love you,
Mommy

Long time, No write...
Has it really been a whole week since I have blogged! Why yes it has. There has not been a lot of exciting news going with Cooper and I lately. Coop did give us a scare earlier in the week. On Sunday, I noticed his lips were blue. My thoughts were that since it was FREEZING outside, that was normal. On Monday, his lips were blue again. My mom was very concerned and so was I, so I took him to the doctor. They tested his oxygen level, heart, and blood. Oxygen levels and Heart were perfect. But his iron level was low. Turns out, Cooper is a little anemic. So, now he has to take a iron supplement everyday. The doctor also said that it is normal for toddlers to turn a little blue when they get cold. And now that we know that Cooper is anemic, he might turn a little blue more often. Great! My son is turning into a smurf! Besides that Cooper and I are doing GREAT! A little stressed at times, but loving life as a single mom!

Snowmen and Santas
Over the holiday season, Cooper saw... not 1, not 2, not 3, but you guessed it FOUR SANTAS! I guess somebody was a REALLY GOOD BOY in 2008. To begin his Santa celebration, Cooper saw him at the Bass Pro Shop the day after Turkey day with his Grandpa, Grammy K, and myself. Next, he saw him with his BFF Mack, Jenn, and myself. The last TWO times were when he visited his Grammy B and Grandaddy in Huntsville. Next year, since he will be talking non-stop and asking questions, we probably should stick to just one Santa. I want Cooper to believe in Santa for a long time and seeing 4 Santas would really confuse him.
Cooper had a great time in Huntsville. He really loves spending time with his long distance girlfriend Caitlyn. They went to the Christmas Village while they were together. Cooper wrote a letter to Santa, danced with cloggers, and posed with Grammy B in the snowman cutouts. He had a blast!!

Our visit with Uncle Mike and Jon Michael
Over the holidays, our Uncle Mike and cousin Jon Michael came to visit from Mississippi. Cooper fell in love with Jon Michael. He followed him everywhere.
Even though Coop was sick, he still had lots of fun spending time with his family.

Chi Omega Christmas Party
This year the party was at Miranda's new townhouse in Pelham. Mir cooked white chicken chili and we played dirty santa. I actually got Mir's gift. It was a Christan book and cd. Can't wait to start reading it!
